Regional Reporting Parser Tool

What it does

  • Reads raw text copied from Paizo’s reporting website.
  • Identifies each reported game by system and edition (Pathfinder Society 1st Edition, Pathfinder Society 2nd Edition, Starfinder Society 1st Edition, Starfinder Society 2nd Edition).
  • Counts unique GM IDs and unique player IDs, ensuring each ID is only counted once per period in each role.
  • Provides summaries by period (quarter, month, year) and by system/edition.
  • Exports results to CSV for easy sharing or archiving.
    How to use it
  1. Get the reporting data from Paizo’s site:
  • Go to Organized Play → My Organized Play (sign in if not already).
  • Under GM/Event Coordinator, click Sessions on the event you want.
  • For each reported game, click Show Seats.
  • Copy everything from the header row down to the end of the table.
  1. Paste into the parser:
  • Paste the copied text into the input box on the parser page.
  1. Multi‑page events:
  • If your event has multiple pages of reported games, repeat the copy/paste for each page.
  • Paste them all into the input field before hitting Parse.
  • Add a blank line (press Return) between each page’s entries to keep the data clean.
  • Example: the East Tennessee event code has 9 pages of reported games going back to September 2024 — all 9 pages need to be pasted in.
  1. Select your reporting options:
  • Choose the reporting period (quarterly, monthly, or annually).
  • Choose whether to group results by system + edition or by system only.
  1. Run the parser:
  • Click Parse to generate tables showing game counts and unique GM/Player IDs.
  • Use Export CSV to download a summary file for your records.
    Why it matters
This tool ensures consistent, transparent reporting across the region. By standardizing how we parse Paizo’s data, we can quickly see participation trends, track GM and player engagement, and prepare accurate quarterly reports without manual counting.
    Troubleshooting
If the parser doesn’t work, check your browser extensions, browser settings, or anti‑virus software — sometimes these can block the tool.
