🏔️🍺 Appalachian Region Weekly Update
Week of October 4 – October 10, 2026
🎪 Oktoberfest Edition 🎪
Prost, Pathfinders and Starfinders! Willkommen to our six-state region’s weekly roundup! From the mountains of West Virginia to the coast of Georgia, tables are filling with the sound of dice rolling like beer steins clinking at Oktoberfest. This week brings LUGCon’s final day, the approach of Nightmare Weekend Raleigh, and tables running across all six states.
🎉 AtlantaPFS Welcomes New Venture-Agent
Christopher B has joined the AtlantaPFS officer team as Venture-Agent at Titan Games & Comics in Smyrna, Georgia, filling a critical gap in venue coverage. Congratulations and thank you, Christopher!
📢 The State of Organized Play
Paizo’s Organized Play Infinite Sanctioning & Announcements blog continues to guide our community:
- Pathfinder Society is not ending. Monthly PFS2 scenario releases wrap up after #8-07: In the Halls of Dead Justice and #8-08: Treatise on the Study of Clockwork, both releasing October 7 (this Wednesday!).
- Going forward, regular PFS content will come from Paizo Printables and fan-created content through Pathfinder Infinite.
- Starfinder Society continues unaffected.
We’ll pass along solid information as it firms up. What’s certain: this community across all six states isn’t going anywhere.
Paizo’s pricing update took effect October 1st on a limited selection of books.

🎯 Looking Ahead
The region is in full swing across all six states, with LUGCon wrapping up tomorrow and Nightmare Weekend Raleigh approaching next Saturday. The final two monthly PFS scenarios drop October 7. Coming up: Nightmare Weekend Raleigh (Oct 10–11), AVL ScareFest (Oct 16–18), and PAX Unplugged (Dec 4–6). Officer coverage remains our biggest need — Chattanooga and Charleston, WV are critical opportunities.
Prost und viel Glück, Pathfinders and Starfinders! May your dice roll true and your steins never empty! ⚔️🍺🎲
