🏔️🌀 Appalachian Region Weekly Update
Week of October 11 – October 17, 2026
🌀 Hurricane Isaias Edition 🌀
Greetings, Pathfinders and Starfinders! Before anything else: we hope everyone across our six-state region weathered Hurricane Isaias safely, with little to no damage to person or property. As communities from the coast to the mountains dry out, tables are back in action. This week brings Nightmare Weekend Raleigh’s final day, AVL ScareFest and Multiverse next weekend, a new venue coordinator in Georgia, and games running in all six states.
🎉 AtlantaPFS Welcomes New Venture-Agent
Christopher B has joined the AtlantaPFS officer team as Venture-Agent at Titan Games & Comics in Smyrna, Georgia, filling a critical gap in venue coverage. Congratulations and thank you, Christopher!
🎉 New Venue Coordinator at Battle & Brew
Alex H, already an AtlantaPFS Venture-Lieutenant, is now venue coordinator at Battle & Brew in Sandy Springs, Georgia. The community member who has been scheduling games there since AtlantaPFS returned to the venue will continue doing so as he always has. He has chosen not to become a Venture-Officer, so Alex is providing the official officer coverage. Thank you to both of them!
📢 The State of Organized Play
Paizo’s Organized Play Infinite Sanctioning & Announcements blog from September 21st continues to guide our community:
- Pathfinder Society is not ending. Monthly PFS2 scenario releases wrapped up with #8-07: In the Halls of Dead Justice and #8-08: Treatise on the Study of Clockwork, both released October 7.
- Going forward, regular PFS content will come from Paizo Printables and fan-created content through Pathfinder Infinite.
- Starfinder Society continues unaffected.
We’ll pass along solid information as it firms up. What’s certain: this community across all six states isn’t going anywhere.
Paizo’s pricing update took effect October 1st on a limited selection of books.
🎨 Thank You, LUGCon!
Gas South Convention Center, Duluth, GA. LUGCon wrapped up on October 4. Thank you to Steve H for representing AtlantaPFS, and to everyone who came out to join us!

🎯 Looking Ahead
Nightmare Weekend Raleigh wraps up Sunday, and next weekend brings both AVL ScareFest and Multiverse (Oct 16–18). Further out: NekoCon (Nov 6–8), Mythic Con Charlotte (Nov 13–15), Anime Weekend Atlanta (Nov 19–22), and PAX Unplugged (Dec 4–6). Officer coverage remains our biggest need — Chattanooga and Charleston, WV are critical opportunities.
Stay safe and dry, Pathfinders and Starfinders! We hope Isaias left you and yours with little to no damage to person or property. May your dice roll true! ⚔️🌀🎲
